Despite a fast start and LaMarcus Aldridge's 22 points and 11 rebounds, the Portland Trail Blazers came up short in Los Angeles, losing 100-86 to the Lakers on Sunday.
Portland (20-14) was without its leading scorer Brandon Roy for the third straight game due to a sore hamstring. Rudy Fernandez, who started in place of Roy, posted 14 points, but the Trail Blazers were cold from the three-point line, shooting 32 percent from behind the arc.
