MICHAEL LISSACK
Assistant Director of Sports Media Relations

Michael Lissack begins his eighth full season with the HEAT as Assistant Director of Sports Media Relations after joining the club in April of 2004. His responsibilities include assisting the department with day-to-day operations, as well as authoring the team’s game notes and preseason and postseason media guides. He also travels with the team and serves as a media liaison during road games.

Lissack received his bachelor of science degree from Boston University’s College of Communications in 1999. Throughout his college years, he held season-long internships in the Boston Celtics media relations department, and summer internships with the Philadelphia 76ers. He also interned with the NHL’s Boston Bruins and worked in BU’s sports marketing department.

Upon graduation, Lissack spent one season in the Golden State Warriors creative services department before returning to Boston to join the Celtics as Media Relations/Creative Services Coordinator. In that position, he was responsible for the public image of the club, as he was actively involved in writing, editing and creating all team publications and print ads, including the annual media guide and being editor of the team’s monthly magazine. He was also instrumental in the day-to-day media operations and developing the Shaw’s/Reebok Pro Summer Leagues into a premier yearly event. In February of 2003, he was promoted to Manager of Team Relations where he focused on the daily media operations of the team.

A native of Philadelphia, PA, Lissack resides in Miami Beach.
